Career Opportunity: We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as a Night Care Assistant. This role involves providing overnight support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Position Details:

  • Type: Part-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week on average
  • Schedule: 4-week rolling rota from 10 PM to 8 AM
  • Compensation: £12.20 per hour

Service Overview: Our facility is designed to accommodate adults facing severe and enduring mental health challenges, offering them a supportive environment to promote independence and self-esteem.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivering quality care in alignment with VSA standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assisting residents with their nightly routines and personal care as needed.
  • Encouraging residents to develop skills for independent living.
  • Collaborating with day staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Providing support during significant life changes.
  • Engaging in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Performing additional tasks as required within the scope of the role.

Candidate Profile:

  • Willingness to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working night shifts in a care setting, with some exposure to lone working.
