Care Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at VSA, a well-respected local social care charity. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and services to individuals with ongoing and enduring mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe and protective environment for service users, adhering to health, safety, and security procedures.
- Support service users with their night routine, providing personal care where necessary, and promoting well-being, choice, and dignity.
- Communicate effectively with service users, day shift staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist service users in developing skills and knowledge to live independently, with reference to the risk assessment process.
- Participate in the compilation and implementation of personal care plans.
- Support service users during significant life changes or losses.
- Develop knowledge and practice continuously through training and development activities.
- Ability to communicate well verbally with individuals.
- Experience of working night shift, preferably in a care environment, and some exposure to lone working.
- Willingness and ability to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) as determined by VSA.
