Career Opportunity: We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Waking Nights Support/Care Workers. This role involves providing essential nighttime care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety during the night.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week on average.
  • Rota: 4-week rolling schedule from 10 PM to 8 AM.
  • Compensation: £12.20 per hour.

Service Overview: Our service is designed to accommodate adults with severe and enduring mental health challenges, providing them with the necessary support to enhance their independence and self-esteem.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality care tailored to the specific needs of service users.
  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the night, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assisting residents with their nighttime routines, including personal care, while promoting dignity and respect.
  • Encouraging residents to develop skills for independent living.
  • Maintaining effective communication with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Supporting residents through significant life changes.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Completing additional reasonable tasks as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Willingness to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working night shifts in a care setting, with familiarity in lone working.
