About the SchoolThis esteemed Primary School in the West Midlands is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. With a strong reputation for providing a rich and stimulating learning environment, the school offers a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for all students and staff.
Your New RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can build strong relationships with children and provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 6 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teacher to monitor the child's learning progression and behaviour, following their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and contributing to their overall development.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 6 with SEN
- Follow EHCP plans and work closely with the teacher
- Monitor learning progression and behaviour
- Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 2 Assistant qualification
- At least 2 years working in a classroom setting
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Strong understanding of child development and SEN
- Competitive Daily Rate: £84-£95 per day (depending on experience)
- Support and Development: We will provide ongoing support and development opportunities to help you grow in your role
