Position Overview:

Are you dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students with special educational needs? We are looking for a committed and qualified Support Assistant to become part of our team in Wolverhampton. This full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm) presents a rewarding opportunity to assist students in a nurturing and inclusive educational setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support educators in implementing educational programs.
  • Facilitate student engagement in learning activities.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Provide individualized or small group assistance to students.
  • Help maintain classroom order and monitor student behavior.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least GCSE in Mathematics and English.
  • Additional credentials in education or child development are advantageous.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Patience and understanding when interacting with students.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be prepared to apply for one.
