Position: Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a classroom environment.
  • Execute tailored learning plans and strategies as outlined by the classroom teacher.
  • Help manage classroom dynamics and provide behaviour support for students with SEN.
  • Support students with personal care requirements when necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with SEN students in an educational context.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Experience Required:

Previous experience in supporting SEN students in an educational setting is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Familiarity with SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work cooperatively with educators and other staff members.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Additional training or certifications in specific areas of SEN support.
  • Experience with a variety of SEN conditions.
Work Environment:
  • This is a temporary role with full-time hours.
  • Engagement within a school setting.
  • May involve assisting with the personal care needs of students.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
