About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team at Marston Holdings, a leading multi-disciplinary design, engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy. As an Associate Director of Kerbside Management, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance our kerbside management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, adopting a collaborative partnership approach and negotiating with internal and external business partners, clients, and customers.

Industry Knowledge and Innovation

Develop a solid understanding of changes and innovation within the industry and kerbside management, ensuring our services remain at the forefront of best practice.

Project Delivery and Commercial Management

Ensure projects are secured in line with business commercial guidelines and meet quality, financial, and client satisfaction objectives, delivering and contributing to the success of business plans and strategies.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and mentor direct reports and teams of consultants to support project delivery, ensuring staff are provided with the appropriate information technology and training to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Programme Management and Expert Support

Manage programmes of work and deliver expert technical support, input, and services in the delivery of kerbside management projects, including highway and public realm design schemes from inception to completion.

Bid Submissions and Commercial Management

Prepare and assist with bid submissions for new work, enabling the business to meet growth aspirations, and provide commercial management, project programming, resource management, risk assessment, quality checking, and delivery management.

Resource Management and Financial Performance

Monitor utilisation of managed teams, take ownership of emerging issues with workload and pipeline, and support regional financial performance through management of key accounts, debt management, project oversight, staff resourcing, resource scheduling, and pipeline analysis.

Requirements
  • Chartered Status

Chartered status, such as ICE or CIHT, is essential for this role.

Kerbside Management Expertise

Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in kerbside management design and implementation are required.

Industry Experience

Seasoned professionals with substantial experience in professional disciplines and recognised in the industry are ideal candidates.

Solution Development and Leadership

Experienced professionals with the ability to develop, price, and agree scope of services, lead and win tender opportunities, and write and review technical reports are highly sought after.

Mentoring and Training

Highly effective mentoring and training skills to develop and support staff are essential.

Financial Management

Knowledge and experience of financial management for significant project and programme values, as well as demonstrable business/commercial management skills of small to large projects, are required.

Up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
