Job Title: Head of People

Job Summary:

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking an experienced Head of People to lead our HR team and drive our people strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives that support our business goals and promote a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the HR team to ensure high performance and engagement
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives that support business goals and promote a positive work culture
  • Provide professional leadership, support, and development to HR staff
  • Create and nurture a supportive culture of well-being
  • Work with the Director of People and Culture to support the implementation of our approach to equality, diversity, inclusion, and participation
  • Lead on existing and new training programs across the practice and business teams
  • Manage the Performance Development Program (PDP) and provide coaching support to employees
  • Lead on all promotion processes for employees below partner level

Requirements:

  • Extensive law firm experience
  • Experience managing a HR/Recruitment team of 4+ people
  • Generalist HR experience at a senior level for at least 5 years
  • A passion for mentoring and developing a HR team
