Front of House Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and organized Assistant Financial Controller to support our client's in-house Financial Controller and coordinate internal IT queries with an external service provider.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.
- Liaise with external parties for outsourced financial functions and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Deal with basic financial queries and requests from affiliated restaurants.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal IT queries, troubleshooting basic IT issues and escalating more complex problems to the external IT provider.
- Coordinate with the external IT service provider to ensure timely resolution of IT issues and technology implementation.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role, with relevant accounting qualifications.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with financial and IT professionals.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50 or 200 preferable) and IT service management tools.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and best usage practices in IT security.
- Experience working in the multi-site hospitality, restaurant, or retail industry.
