Financial Operations Specialist

At Balfour Beatty, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our Highways team on the Connect Plus Services project. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient control of accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Cost Assurance Manager in controlling transactional processes and ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Work with the finance team and wider business to maintain effective and efficient processing systems.
  • Liaise with finance teams within parent companies to ensure smooth payment processes.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain vouchers process.
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for other finance team members.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in finance.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Understanding of the wider business and its financial implications.
  • Accounting qualifications are an advantage, but we can offer training for the right candidate.
