About the Role:

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team at ME+EM. In light of our ongoing domestic and international growth, we are launching a significant digital transformation initiative and expanding our internal digital platform team. This role presents a unique opportunity to be a pivotal part of this new team, leading the design and implementation of effective test automation strategies.

The Digital Platform team is responsible for the entire customer-facing digital ecosystem, enabling continuous enhancements in a scalable and agile manner. Currently, the team comprises a single multidisciplinary squad dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences across our digital applications. The successful candidate will join our second squad and should have a proven history of developing and maintaining automated test scripts for comprehensive web application testing. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders and the Digital Platforms team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for comprehensive website testing.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to integrate automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Engage with Product Managers and Designers to comprehend product specifications and devise test cases that ensure thorough coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality and maintainability of test scripts.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze outcomes to pinpoint potential issues and areas for enhancement.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the test automation framework.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA automation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the development process.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a QA Automation Engineer or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, particularly Javascript.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Jest and Playwright, or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Vercel and GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of thriving in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in the fashion or retail sector is advantageous.
