About the Role:

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team at ME+EM. In response to our ongoing rapid growth, we are initiating a significant digital transformation project and expanding our internal digital platform team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the establishment of this new team, focusing on the design and implementation of robust test automation solutions.

The Digital Platform team is responsible for the entire customer-facing digital ecosystem, enabling us to enhance our digital offerings in a scalable and agile manner. Currently, the team comprises a single autonomous squad dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences across our applications. The successful candidate will join our second squad and should possess a strong background in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for comprehensive web application testing. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders and the Digital Platforms team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for thorough testing of our website.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to integrate automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Engage with Product Managers and Designers to comprehend product specifications and devise test cases that ensure extensive coverage.
  • Identify, document, and monitor defects and issues until resolution.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to uphold the quality and maintainability of test scripts.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze outcomes to pinpoint potential issues and areas for enhancement.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the test automation framework.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA automation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the ongoing improvement of development processes.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a QA Automation Engineer or in a comparable role.
  • Strong command of programming languages, particularly Javascript.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Jest and Playwright, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Vercel and GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in the fashion or retail sector is advantageous.
