The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Travel Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Business Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-level customer service to our clients, ensuring that their travel needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with emergency actions, contingency plans, and out-of-hours requirements, ensuring that our clients' travel needs are met at all times.
- Ensure that client travel policies are adhered to correctly, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Meet and exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers, providing regular updates on client activity and any issues that may arise.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in other offices, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Ensure that all administration tasks are completed to the highest standard, both internally and externally.
- Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed, ensuring that our team is always equipped to meet the needs of our clients.
- Assist with all reservations and aspects of travel, including air, hotel, rail, and car reservations, as well as any other travel-related requests received from clients and partners.
- Offer travel advice and guidance to clients, providing expert knowledge and support to ensure that their travel needs are met.
- Be fully conversant in all operational working practices, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service.
- Be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Assist with any additional tasks required as a business priority, ensuring that our clients' needs are always met.
Requirements
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven attention to detail and quality standards, with the ability to work independently and use own initiative to resolve problems and find solutions.
- Extensive industry experience in all areas of travel management operations, with a strong understanding of fares and ticketing.
- Sound, proven SABRE/GALILEO GDS skills, with an excellent understanding of fares and ticketing.
- Ability to turnaround fare recalculations and ticket reissues quickly, with a high level of accuracy.
- Highly organized, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and multitask under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with a proactive response to client servicing at all times.
- Adept at using Microsoft Office software, with a strong understanding of industry-specific software and systems.
