About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Grounds Maintenance Manager to join our team at Frasers Group. As a key member of our stadium operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Stadium Operations in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our professional playing pitch at CBS Arena.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Stadium Operations in planning, implementing, and evaluating the maintenance and upkeep of the professional pitch and related facilities.
  • Manage and maintain the highest standards of ground quality, ensuring the pitch is consistently available for use by the club and stadium.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of all grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity of the pitch and related facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Stadium Operations to develop and implement strategies to improve ground quality and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Supervise and train a team of grounds maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance activities, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external contractors and suppliers to ensure the highest quality of service and products.

Requirements

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or above in green keeping and grounds management or equivalent.
  • Spraying certificates PA1, 2 and 6 (Desirable)
  • Experience in all aspects of grounds maintenance, including hybrid, artificial surfaces, and horticulture.
  • Experience in the use of turf care equipment and machinery.
  • Competent IT skills and experience with maintenance management software.
  • Experience in managing teams and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.
