Stadium Pitch Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Grounds Person to join our team at Frasers Group. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Grounds Person in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our stadium's professional playing pitch.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head Grounds Person in planning, implementing, and evaluating the maintenance and upkeep of the professional pitch, including daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Uphold Ground Standards by effectively managing all grounds activities to consistently achieve recognized standards and ensure the pitch is available for use.
- Ensure Health and Safety by managing and checking facilities, plant, buildings, and equipment to ensure safe working practices and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Equipment Management - manage the maintenance, servicing, and storage of equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Pitch Maintenance - assist in the renovation of hybrid and natural pitches using equipment associated with this process, including tractor and trailer work, sand spreading, and seeding.
- Trend Analysis - gather and record information to develop trend data and analyze past usage to inform future maintenance decisions.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 or above in green keeping and groundsmanship or equivalent.
- Spraying certificates PA1, 2, and 6 (desirable).
- Experience in all aspects of grounds maintenance, including hybrid, artificial surfaces, and a working knowledge of horticulture and gardens.
- Competent IT skills.
- Experience in the management of pitch lighting systems.
- Competent management and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Experience of managing teams of operatives, planning and organizing workloads, allocating duties, and monitoring performance.
- Good mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to assist with routine maintenance.
