Job Title: Deputy Head Grounds Person

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Grounds Person to join our team at CBS Arena. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stadium's professional playing pitch is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Grounds Person in planning, implementing, and evaluating the maintenance and upkeep of the stadium's professional playing pitch.
  • Manage and maintain all grounds activities to consistently achieve recognized standards and availability for the Club and stadium.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met by managing and checking facilities, plant, buildings, and equipment.
  • Manage the maintenance, servicing, and storage of equipment.
  • Assist in the renovation of hybrid and natural pitches using associated equipment.
  • Operate a wide range of machinery for maintenance and renovation of grassed areas.
  • Analyze trend data and gather information to develop insights on past usage.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or above in greenkeeping and groundsmanship or equivalent.
  • Spraying certificates PA1, 2, and 6 (desirable).
  • Experience in all aspects of grounds maintenance, including hybrid, artificial surfaces, and horticulture.
  • Experience in the use of turf care equipment.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Experience in managing pitch lighting systems and irrigation systems.
  • Ability to manage teams, plan workloads, allocate duties, and monitor performance.
  • Good mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to assist with routine maintenance.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 5 days in 7 with a competitive salary.
