Nursery Food Services Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons. As a Regional Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting age-appropriate food for children in our nurseries, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met and that the kitchen is a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present healthy and nutritious meals for children in our nurseries
- Manage kitchen inventory and ensure that stock levels are suitably recorded and maintained
- Lead cookery club sessions with children and support with other nursery activities
- Work in partnership with the nursery team and parents to promote healthy eating and nutrition
- Ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding are maintained
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a domestic or commercial setting
- Passion for nutrition and inspiring others in healthy eating
- Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post
- Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing different dietary requirements
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
