Regional Chef

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons. As a Regional Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting age-appropriate food for children in our nurseries, while ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present healthy and nutritious meals for children, taking into account dietary requirements and allergies.
• Lead cookery club sessions with children, promoting healthy eating habits and culinary skills.
• Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and recorded in accordance with company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team and parents to promote a healthy and safe environment for children.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Support with other nursery activities, such as BBQs and staff meetings, as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a domestic or commercial setting.
• Passion for nutrition and inspiring others in healthy eating.
• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) certification.
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing different dietary requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
