The Radiology Department provides a comprehensive range of imaging services, including digital General X-ray, CT, MRI, Neuro and Vascular & Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Angiography, DEXA, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Radiographer to join our team in Plain Film. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality plain film radiography services, working in accordance with X-Ray Department and Trust protocols.

The post-holder will form part of a team of staff in the Imaging Department responsible for the provision of a safe, efficient, high-quality service. The successful candidate will support the Imaging Department's Senior team in achieving the departmental and Trust objectives and will supervise and advise newly Qualified/Junior Radiographers, Undergraduate Students and Assistant Practitioners.

Main duties of the job
  1. The post-holder will support the Band 7 Lead Radiographers in the day-to-day running of the clinical services within the radiology department.
Person SpecificationEducation/Qualifications
  • Hold BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers Diploma or equivalent.
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
Experience/Knowledge
  • Experience of working with Digital Radiography / PACS and Radiology Information Systems.
  • Experience in supervision and training of student Radiographers/Apprentices.
