Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Services Lead to join our dedicated team.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse team of professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality community services that meet the evolving needs of our population.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Management: Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to your team. This includes performance management, sickness monitoring, recruitment, skill mix optimization, and staffing rota planning.
  • Clinical Expertise: Leverage your extensive post-graduate experience in community services to provide expert clinical guidance and mentorship to the team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Service Development & Improvement: Identify local health needs and develop innovative solutions to address them. This involves translating identified needs into resource allocation plans and implementing service improvements.
  • Change Management: Lead and manage change initiatives within the team, ensuring smooth transitions and successful implementation of new processes and procedures.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team in a community services setting.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience as a practicing professional in community services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively at a senior level within community services.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and building collaborative relationships.
  • Comprehensive supervisory experience, both clinically and managerially.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to support staff development.
  • Commitment to implementing innovative clinical practices.
  • Expertise in recruitment and selection processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant national policies and guidelines related to community services.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary team working and partnership development.
  • Skill mix review and assessment expertise.
  • Previous experience in budgetary control and managing a budget.
