We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Offender Support Specialist. This role is ideal for a Criminology and Psychology graduate with a passion for working with vulnerable young people.

The successful candidate will work in a challenging school setting, supporting students with a range of trauma and mental health needs. The role will involve working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and SEMH needs
  • Work with students to develop their social, emotional, and mental health skills
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver a holistic approach to learning
  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs
  • Participate in MAPA and ABA Training to develop skills in restorative practices

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Criminology and Psychology or a related field
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality support to students
