Job Title: Youth Support Specialist

This role involves working with vulnerable children and young people in a school setting. The school provides a holistic and restorative approach to learning and behaviour management, catering to students with varying degrees of social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

The students at the school have experienced trauma and often struggle to build long-term relationships with their peers. They may exhibit high levels of anxiety and challenging behaviour. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting these students to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing key and personal skills in small class sizes
  • Working with students who have SEMH, Autism, OCD, ADHD, and Complex Social Needs
  • Providing a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and grow
  • Collaborating with the school team to develop and implement therapeutic and restorative processes

Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Knowledge of SEMH, Autism, OCD, ADHD, and Complex Social Needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
