Youth Support Worker

Academics is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aspiring Youth Worker to join our team in Woking, Surrey. This is a unique opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their potential.
About the Role:This Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). The school provides a holistic and restorative approach to learning and behaviour management, and we are looking for someone who can empathize with our students and provide a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support students with SEMH, Autism, OCD, ADHD, and Complex Social Needs
- Work in small classes, focusing on implementing key and personal skills
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to the development of a curriculum that meets the individual needs of our students
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and has a strong understanding of SEMH and related needs. A degree in Criminology, Psychology, or a related field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team, communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
