About the Role

Hays London Ebury Gate is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our team in a Higher Education Institution. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional programme management, governance management, and project planning during a critical phase of the integration programme of the university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integration Delivery Plan: Oversee the integration delivery plan with a detailed timeline for the development, delivery, and implementation to maintain momentum.
  • Programme Management: Assure the programme of workstreams and projects to integrate professional services, underpinned by best practice structures, services, and processes.
  • Agreement and Compliance: Monitor the completion of outstanding agreements, regulatory, and compliance commitments.
  • Project Support: Work proactively with workstream and project leaders, enabling them to deliver their work while providing context and support from the wider Programme.
  • Business Case and Plan: Coordinate integration-focused project business cases and plans.
  • Resource Management: Ensure appropriate budget, resources, and quality management for the lifecycle of the programme.
  • Reporting Framework: Manage the agreed reporting framework for programme monitoring, including benefits realisation, risks, interdependencies, issue prioritisation, and escalation, ensuring all actions arising are resolved, recorded, and monitored.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification: Relevant professional qualification (APM, Prince2)
  • Project Delivery Experience: A demonstrable track record of project and programme delivery in a complex business environment.
  • Senior Level Experience: Demonstrable experience working at a senior level within higher education, NHS, or other public sector organisations.
  • Programme Management Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of the management of major projects and programmes, and approaches to enabling change in large and complex organisations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation and presentation skills.
