Position Overview

The Night Operations Team is composed of Site Coordinators, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and Clinical Support Staff who collaborate effectively during nighttime hours alongside medical and surgical teams.

In this role, you will oversee and prioritize the clinical responsibilities during off-peak hours, utilizing a web-based clinical paging system. You will provide clinical guidance and support, monitor staffing levels, assess risks, and allocate personnel in collaboration with various divisions.

Strong leadership abilities, quick decision-making skills, and a proven history of engaging with staff across all disciplines while upholding high professional standards are essential.

Your responsibilities will also include assisting the bed management team to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the facility, responding to emergency situations, fire alarms, and other site-related issues.

This position requires sound judgment, particularly in high-pressure scenarios, necessitating a calm and approachable demeanor.

This is a vital role within the organization, demanding the capacity to work autonomously and proactively.

Job Requirements

This position is open to individuals who possess a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled in a program that will lead to obtaining their full NMC PIN within the next few months. Please note that an NMC PRN PIN does not qualify as a full NMC PIN and does not meet the essential criteria for this role.

Application Criteria

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Degree in nursing studies (or equivalent nursing qualification and experience)
  • Extensive post-registration experience and significant experience at band 6 level within clinical services.
  • Demonstrated professional and managerial expertise, knowledge, and leadership acquired through experience.
  • Substantial experience in managing a team of staff.

Desirable Qualifications
