Transforming the DoD with High Power Radio Frequency Engineering

The Challenge:

We're seeking a highly skilled High Power Radio Frequency (HPRF) engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing next-generation non-lethal systems for the Fleet.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory and field testing, including establishing test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing results.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, testing, and analyzing high-powered, pulsed power-driven microwave systems.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, fabricating, and testing electronic printed circuit boards.
  • Experience with HPM and HPRF source testing and evaluation.
  • Experience with digital and analog control systems, power electronics, EMI mitigation techniques, transformer design, DC-to-DC converters, and high-voltage capacitors.
  • Experience in RF and microwave signal generation and test equipment, vacuum devices, tubes, radars, HPRF systems, and digital signal processing.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with high voltage, high peak power spark-gaps, high voltage power supplies, fast transient diagnostics, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic countermeasures (EMC) mitigation techniques.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering related to program development, modeling, or simulation.
  • Master's degree.
