Head of Child Safeguarding and Quality Assurance

About the Role
The Head of Child Safeguarding and Quality Assurance will be responsible for delivering effective performance against the performance framework and establishing a high-quality level of data and information for the service. This role requires a senior manager with a strong background in quality assurance and review, as well as technical knowledge of performance within Children's Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of professionals in reviewing and improving the quality of services provided to children and families.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve data quality and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other Heads of Service across the directorate to share best practices and drive improvement.
- Provide technical expertise and support to colleagues across the directorate, including operational service leaders, Academy, PSW, and ADCS.
- Develop and deliver training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience at a senior manager level or equivalent within a quality assurance or review role.
- Hold a social work qualification and have technical knowledge of performance within Children's Services.
- Experience leading a team and providing expertise for complex queries.
- Hold a valid DBS and be willing to undertake one.
