Main Responsibilities

  • Manage your workload with precision and efficiency, using initiative and minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with our clinical team and other disciplines to contribute to the effectiveness of the service.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming front-of-house reception service to patients and relatives, ensuring confidentiality and tactful professionalism.
  • Communicate basic information to patients and carers with reassurance, sensitivity, and empathy.
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary staff to provide a point of contact for patients, relatives, and other departments.
  • Support the rheumatology service in delivering care to patients via our telephone advice line, maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Provide accurate and relevant information to callers, using excellent communication and reflective listening skills.
