**Job purpose**

An efficient and effective Marketing team is essential to the continued success of Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.

The Multiply project, delivered by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai, is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is all about improving people’s numeracy skills. Adults who don’t already have a GCSE grade C or equivalent will be able to access free courses that fit around their lives - whether that be in person or online, at work or in the evening, part time or intensive - with additional support to meet their needs.

The role of the Marketing & Communications Officer is to develop and deliver marketing plans and strategies for the exciting new Multiply Project delivered by Grŵp Llandrillo Menai.

The Marketing & Communications Officer for the Multiply Project has a key part to play within the department, supporting recruitment through the effective promotion of provision on Multiply courses. They will also ensure that all forms of communication for the Multiply Project are of the highest standard and promote the project's wide range of opportunities and numerous success stories.

The post holder will deploy a range of skills and knowledge to enable them to contribute effectively to the delivery of a first-rate marketing and communication service, both externally and internally.

The post holder will be based on the Rhos-on-Sea campus, and will be expected to visit other campuses and areas across the North Wales region as required.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Acting as the Marketing representative for Multiply, seek out and exploit internal and external opportunities which will help to promote the project, including working with a range of stakeholders
- Working with colleagues within the Marketing & Communications team, contribute to the creation of positive communications for use on social media, local news outlets and the Grŵp website
- Write press releases for Multiply, distribute them with supporting photographs and materials as appropriate, and upload them onto the website and social media.
- Build, maintain and enhance relationships with College staff at all levels and provide operational marketing support and advice as required
- Contribute to the Grŵp’s social media, ensuring frequent, appropriate, bilingual posts on the relevant channels
- Plan, organise and coordinate a range of Multiply events. On occasion, you will be required to work during the evening and at weekends
- Support the arrangements of a variety of College and Grŵp promotional events, including open events, launches and engagement activities.
- Assist with the design and production of various marketing and publicity materials, including flyers, posters and banners
- Take and/or coordinate photographs as required to support marketing activities, and collect video footage as appropriate to enhance the Multiply project’s online presence.
- Represent the Marketing department at a range of Multiply meetings, feeding back relevant information to the Grŵp Marketing & Communications Manager
- Attend such training courses that are necessary, in order to carry out duties efficiently and effectively.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by Grŵp Marketing & Communications Manager.
- Travel to other campuses and locations across North Wales as appropriate

**Person specification**
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent or/and previous experience in a marketing communications based role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Welsh
- Confident use of ICT
- Good administrative skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and to develop effective working relationships with colleagues internally and with external contacts
- Ability to set, agree and work to targets and deadlines and to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for prioritising and planning own work
- Ability to work flexibly when required
