About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental/Town Planner to join our Planning team at Wardell Armstrong. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on planning and environmental matters to a variety of clients, including leading renewable energy developers, utility and infrastructure companies, waste management operators, house builders, land promoters, investment institutions, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including determining planning strategies, site appraisals, pre-application consultation, preparing planning applications and appeals, planning project management, community consultation, proposal preparation, and business development activities.
  • Liaising with external parties, including developers, landowners, architects, engineers, local authorities, and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Team supervision and advice.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree and a strong track record working on medium/large-scale planning projects.
  • A high level of technical competency, and quality of work, together with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • The ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales, and problem-solving skills.
