Position Overview

Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead Surgical Practitioner to become a vital part of a prestigious Private Hospital. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £42,500, commensurate with your expertise, training, and credentials.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Surgical Practitioner, your role will encompass:

  • Ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality care for patients throughout their peri-operative journey.
  • Facilitating, coordinating, and actively participating in the management and organization of care within the surgical department.
  • Providing meticulously planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase.
  • Leading the provision of patient care during surgical lists or designated timeframes.
  • Conducting patient safety checks in alignment with established protocols.
  • Engaging in quality enhancement initiatives and advocating for best evidence-based practices.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Lead Surgical Practitioner position should possess:

  • Registration as a Practitioner with NMC or HCPC.
  • A post-registration qualification relevant to the specialty, such as Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant.
  • Completion of an ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
  • ILS and Orthopaedic skills.
  • Prior experience in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Experience in managing and leading a clinical team.
