Job Title: Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5 Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and early childhood education, along with strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including staff, children, and equipment.
- Lead on operational management and coordination of the childcare provision, working towards an outstanding level of care.
- Conduct a mix of managerial and in-room tasks, including financial operations, meeting targets, and managing occupancy levels.
- Monitor and assess the quality of provision, ensuring policies and procedures, best practice, and standards are maintained.
- Report to the Community Centre Manager and Tadpoles Committee.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years Childcare Qualification is essential.
- GCSE's A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain clear DBS.
- At least 2 years' experience of leadership within an Early Years Setting or suitable experience.
- Management and Childcare experience is essential.
Qualities Required:
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about early years and staff development, a dedicated and approachable leader.
- You will have Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, and Food Hygiene qualifications, be able to complete risk assessments and showcase the commitment to your own Continued Professional Development (CPD).
- Strong and effective communication skills and strong leadership styles that ensures our nursery team is well equipped to provide the highest standards of early learning and childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.
