About the Role:
The Aspire Training Team is seeking a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to complete a Level 3 Early Years Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship at Little Beans Nursery.
Job Summary:
This apprenticeship has been designed by sector experts to help individuals who have gained their EYE and are looking to progress into a leadership role.
About Little Beans Nursery:
Little Beans Nursery is a purpose-built facility that offers a large, spacious room with high ceilings, promoting high-quality learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The nursery has an inspiring environment with a clever combination of spaces, interconnected and offering the very best resources, role-play areas, a library, arts and crafts, messy play, sensory play, relaxation, dance/yoga area, maths corner, and plenty of floor space for day-to-day activities.
The nursery accommodates up to 49 children aged 2-5 years old and offers wrap-around care for Longfleet School, providing a breakfast club and drop-off/pick-up service.
The nursery has a large commercial kitchen where a dedicated cook prepares hot meals and snacks for the children.
Responsibilities:
- Support the staff in the rooms, focusing on development and growth.
- Oversee staff observations, completing supervisions and 1-2-1 sessions.
- Work with other leaders and the management team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Keep on top of paperwork and log the children's development.
- Ensure the room is up-to-date and running smoothly.
- Display a real passion and commitment to working in a childcare setting, nurturing children, caring, supporting, and safeguarding their well-being.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, building strong relationships.
- Support the team with daily activities and be hands-on with personal care.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential for this position.
- GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent (functional skills).
- A clear DBS is required.
Working Hours:
- The nursery is open between 07:30-18:00, Monday to Friday.
- Working hours will be 40 hours per week, between 07:30-18:00.
