The Opportunity: We are seeking a Specialist Autism Practitioner to play a key role in leading and developing a dedicated provision as a Centre of Excellence. This provision offers a range of services for students with language and communication difficulties who may also have autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Your Role:

  • Work collaboratively with a highly professional team committed to the inclusion and success of all students.
  • Support the individual needs of students and enhance their learning opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive community and make a positive contribution to our school environment.
  • Hold qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN), Child Development, or Psychology.
  • Be committed to the inclusion of all students.
  • Be part of a team that believes in the success and inclusion of all students.
  • Make a real difference in the lives of young people and help them achieve their best possible prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the development of the provision as a Centre of Excellence.
