The Finance Team:

You will become part of a dedicated and skilled finance team committed to delivering top-tier services within the organization. Our shared service center encompasses all financial operations for the majority of our European sites.

Job Purpose:

The primary objective is to meticulously prepare and oversee financial accounting and local compliance, including statutory accounting, audits, and group submissions for the assigned entities. You will provide robust support to the Finance Manager in various transformation initiatives and projects. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for two days of remote work each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and other necessary documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Prepare and record monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries.
  • Conduct timely balance sheet reconciliations and submit them into Blackline, ensuring a clean balance sheet with no aged or unresolved items.
  • Ensure intercompany accounts are fully reconciled, with no aged balances, and investigate any discrepancies thoroughly.
  • Prepare and ensure the timely filing of statutory accounts for the relevant legal entities.
  • Manage asset accounting, including depreciation processes, capitalizing assets under construction, and timely completion of open/close projects.
  • Collaborate with the VAT and Tax Managers/Consultants to ensure comprehensive tax compliance.
  • Assist external auditors during interim and year-end audits, ensuring timely provision of necessary information.
  • Work with the internal audit team to address and resolve any issues raised by them within the specified deadlines.
  • Oversee the GRIR account, ensuring no aged balances remain unresolved.
  • Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of the annual balance sheet budget while supporting the budgeting process for the profit and loss statement.
  • Review and authorize weekly payment runs.
  • Coordinate with HR and the Payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing of local payroll.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Assist the Senior Manager with finance-related projects and ad-hoc requests.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications.
  • Proficient in SAP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in a large, complex global financial environment.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders, preferably in a manufacturing context.
