The Finance Team:
You will become part of a dedicated and dynamic finance team committed to delivering exceptional services within the organization. Our shared service center encompasses all financial operations for the majority of our European sites.
Role Overview:
The primary responsibility is to meticulously prepare and oversee financial accounting and local compliance, including statutory accounting, audits, and group submissions for the designated entities. You will provide robust support to the Finance Manager in various transformation initiatives and projects. This is a hybrid position, allowing for two days of remote work each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and other necessary documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and record monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries.
- Conduct timely balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, ensuring a clean balance sheet with no aged or unresolved items.
- Ensure intercompany accounts are fully reconciled with no aged balances, investigating any discrepancies thoroughly.
- Prepare and ensure timely submission of statutory accounts for the relevant legal entities.
- Manage asset accounting, including depreciation runs and the capitalization of construction assets, ensuring timely completion of open and closed projects.
- Collaborate with the VAT and Tax Managers/Consultants to guarantee full tax compliance.
- Assist external auditors during interim and year-end audits, ensuring timely provision of required information.
- Work with the internal audit team to address and resolve any issues raised within the stipulated timeframe.
- Oversee the GRIR account, ensuring no aged balances remain unresolved.
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly cash flow forecasts punctually.
- Lead the preparation and submission of the annual balance sheet budget while supporting the P&L budgeting process.
- Review and authorize weekly payment runs.
- Coordinate with HR and payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of local payroll.
- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Support the Senior Manager with finance-related projects and ad-hoc requests.
Essential Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications.
- Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems.
- Experience in a large, complex global financial environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships, preferably in a manufacturing context.
