General Ledger Accountant

As a General Ledger Accountant at Arrow Electronics, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities- Manage and control the General Ledger for assigned Arrow companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete all necessary month-end financial close procedures, including accruals and prepayments, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit internal reports to European and US head office, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
- Facilitate and manage fixed asset register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Conduct Sarbanes Oxley controls and hedging/revaluation activities to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Support headcount reporting, control, and forecasting, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and submit statutory accounting and corporation tax work, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and control statutory/corporate reconciliations and European consolidation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate and submit VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List Reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support audit work, providing accurate and timely financial data to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to develop new and efficient processes and procedures, driving continuous improvement.
- Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks, ensuring seamless execution.
- 5+ years of experience in all-round accounting, with a strong background in general accounting and reporting processes.
- Fluent English and Italian language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with accruals, prepayments, VAT, balance sheet reconciliations, and advanced Excel skills.
- Results-driven individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
