General Ledger Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our team at Arrow Electronics, Inc. as a key member of our finance department.
Key Responsibilities- Control and manage the accuracy of General Ledger for assigned Arrow companies.
- Complete all relevant month-end financial close procedures, including necessary accruals and prepayments activities.
- Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to US head office.
- Facilitate and manage fixed asset register and related accounting, liaising with accounts payable clerks and other business areas as needed.
- Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage hedging and revaluation activities, as well as headcount reporting, control, and forecasting support.
- Prepare statutory accounting and corporation tax work, including statutory/corporate reconciliations and European consolidation.
- Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat, and Sales List Reporting, submission of VAT Returns, and related compliance.
- Support and be involved with all audit work, providing accurate and timely information as required.
- Develop and implement new/efficient processes and procedures within the accounting team to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks, as well as manage other staff as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in all-round accounting, with a strong background in general accounting and reporting processes.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with accruals, prepayments, VAT, balance sheet reconciliations, and advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
- Results-driven individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while prioritizing tasks effectively.
