Lead and Enhance Inclusive Education as a SENDCo

Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) to champion inclusive education within our educational network. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive team environment and foster a nurturing and innovative learning setting for students with special needs.

Your Impact as a SENDCo

  • Spearhead the development and refinement of SEND and inclusion services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our diverse student population.
  • Provide direct instruction to primary-aged students with complex learning needs, tailoring your approach to individual strengths and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team to elevate SEND services across the organization, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Mentor and guide staff involved in special needs provision, fostering a culture of shared expertise and best practices.
  • Design and implement effective intervention programs that address specific learning difficulties and support student progress.
  • Serve as the Designated Teacher for Children Looked After, providing dedicated support and advocacy for their educational journey.
  • Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, contributing to the safety and well-being of all students within our care.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a genuine passion for special needs education.
  • Possess or be committed to obtaining the NASENCO qualification within two years.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, effectively guiding teams and initiatives.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, fostering positive connections with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.
