Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Information Officer to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our Digital and Nursing Strategies team, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting the implementation of our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a deep understanding of the national digital agenda and the Guidance for Nursing on What Good Looks Like (WGLL) Framework. They will be responsible for ensuring nursing adoption and engagement in the use of technology, driving continuous clinical process improvement, and developing clinical information that supports and enhances nursing practice and organisational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and support workstreams as part of the EPR project implementation
  • Ensure clinical safety of systems and processes in the design, implementation, and use of technology solutions
  • Hold a recognised Clinical Safety Officer qualification or be willing to undertake
  • Be the Lead Nurse for digital, with ownership and responsibility for the co-ordination and collation of data with colleagues in the nursing, digital department and external agencies where required
  • Take responsibility for ensuring nursing adoption and engagement in the use of technology
Requirements
  • Relevant professional/clinical qualification (RN)
  • First level degree in related healthcare discipline
  • Evidence of a Master's degree relevant to role or equivalent experience
  • Teaching/Mentorship qualification
  • Clinical Safety Officer Practitioner or willingness to undertake
Desirable Criteria
  • Digital Health Leadership course or working towards
  • Post-graduate management qualification / experience
  • Project management qualification / experience
