About the Role

The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our therapy team in the bed-based rehabilitation unit at Sidmouth Community Hospital.

As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will work as part of a supportive, integrated multidisciplinary team to carry out rehabilitation groups and individual programmes of intervention devised for patients by qualified therapy staff.

Your primary goal will be to increase patient independence, reduce deconditioning, and facilitate discharge from hospital.

We are looking for someone with an interest in community rehabilitation, multi-disciplinary working, falls prevention, and management of patients with a wide variety of short and long-term conditions.

Clinical supervision will be provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Nurse, and we actively encourage peer support and offer learning and development opportunities.

Working Pattern: The successful candidate will work approximately 37.5 hours per week, including approximately 1 in 4 weekends.
