About the Rehabilitation Support Worker Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Rehab Support Worker to join our Therapy team working in the bed-based Rehabilitation unit at Sidmouth Community Hospital.

As part of a supportive, integrated multidisciplinary team, you will carry out rehabilitation groups and individual programmes of intervention devised for patients by qualified Therapy staff.

Your goal will be to increase patient independence, reduce deconditioning, and facilitate discharge from hospital.

Clinical supervision will be provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Nurse, and we actively encourage peer support and offer learning and development opportunities.

Working Hours and Benefits

You will work approximately 1 in 4 weekends, and we offer flexible working schemes and family-friendly policies to help you create a healthy work-life balance.

Access to comprehensive occupational health services, including counselling and onsite wellbeing activities, is also available.

Preference will be given to staff with 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status, including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.
