About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Rehab Support Worker to join our Therapy team working in the bed-based Rehabilitation unit at Sidmouth Community Hospital.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, and Nursing staff to deliver rehabilitation groups and individual programmes of intervention.

Your primary goal will be to increase patient independence, reduce deconditioning, and facilitate discharge from hospital.

Key responsibilities will include carrying out rehabilitation programmes devised by qualified Therapy staff, managing patients with a wide variety of short and long-term conditions, and providing support to patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Clinical supervision will be provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Nurse, and we actively encourage peer support and offer learning and development opportunities.

Working Hours

Approximately 1 in 4 weekend working, with flexible working opportunities and free parking available.
