1. Department Overview

The Matchday Stewarding and Security Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all individuals attending the venue. This team is responsible for facilitating smooth operations and enhancing customer satisfaction for visitors at Villa Park, while upholding high standards of security protocols to create a safe and enjoyable environment.

2. Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Retail Loss Prevention Officer to become a key member of our Security and Matchday Safety team. This essential position involves overseeing site security within the primary Retail store, ensuring adherence to security protocols in a bustling atmosphere. Responsibilities include conducting security patrols throughout the store and serving as a visible deterrent against theft and security breaches. You will engage with customers, providing a professional first impression to all who visit the retail establishment.

Your duties will encompass conducting internal investigations related to stock loss, fraud, and theft, as well as preparing comprehensive incident reports and gathering evidence to support potential criminal prosecutions. Collaboration with store associates, managers, and local law enforcement will be vital in gathering intelligence on frequent shoplifters in the vicinity.

3. Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a similar Loss Prevention Officer role, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicts and incidents as they arise. You must hold a valid SIA Security Guard Licence and ensure compliance with Club processes and protocols at all times.

We are looking for a proactive individual who exhibits a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service are essential. The ability to build rapport with diverse audiences, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, is crucial for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Flexibility to work on matchdays, including evenings and weekends, is a requirement for this role.
