Spinner Medical Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Academic Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. As a Senior Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing first-class care and advice to patients, carers, and families in inpatient, community, and outreach settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant advice to colleagues internally and in other specialties.
- Develop and implement strategies across the service to ensure clinical governance is at the highest standards.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement, audit, teaching, and other initiatives.
- Advocate for professional development and ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is up to date.
Selection Criteria
- FRANZCP or specialist training completed in Ireland, UK, USA, Sri Lanka (with Australian or NZ international placement), Canada, or South Africa.
- Completion of a formal post in child and adolescent psychiatry of at least 6 months if trained in the countries listed above.
- Experience in delivering specialist care in multicultural environments.
- Experience in rural and remote mental health care provision will be highly regarded.
