Senior Mental Health Specialist

Smartcall Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
  2. Diagnose and treat mental illnesses and disorders.
  3. Develop and implement treatment plans.
  4. Prescribe and monitor medications.
  5. Provide therapy and counselling to patients.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Requirements:

  1. Valid GMC registration.
  2. Excellent communication skills.
  3. Evidence of post-registration experience.
  4. Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act & Code of Practice.
  5. Previous experience as a consultant.
  6. CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry.
  7. Previous experience at consultant level within the NHS.
  8. Ability to conduct training.
