About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team in the Personality Disorder Pathway Hub. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with or at risk of Personality Disorder and complex emotional needs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in a community-based setting, providing support to individuals in their own homes, at the community base, or with GPs in the local area. You will work closely with nurses, medics, and other healthcare professionals to build positive relationships with clients, engage them in care plans, and provide support with a wide range of issues.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to individuals with Personality Disorder and complex emotional needs
  • Working with clients to develop and implement care plans
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care
  • Engaging with clients to promote their mental health and wellbeing

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care Certificate or equivalent experience
  • Basic understanding of mental health conditions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • IT skills
