Job Summary:

Amdas Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join the Senior Management Team of a successful construction company. As a key member of the Main Board, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy, supported by budgets, forecasts, and analysis, to drive business growth and success.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with bankers and auditors, ensuring a smooth annual audit process and effective communication with external stakeholders.
  • Periodic Reporting: Lead the finance team to provide timely, accurate, and insightful management information, including weekly Flash and monthly Board Packs, with commentary and performance metrics.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of a financial strategic plan, develop budgets, financial planning, forecasts, and models to inform commercial opportunities and risk management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring robust systems and controls are in place throughout the organization.
  • Project Accounting: Lead on all project and acquisition accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Maintain a high level of visibility, lead, coach, and mentor the finance team, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Operational Integration: Support the consolidation and integration of international entities into the Group consolidation model, ensuring seamless financial reporting and analysis.
  • Analysis and Commentary: Interrogate management information, providing regular and insightful commentary on commercial, operational, and financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Significant experience within the construction sector
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
