About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Repairs and Contracts Manager to join our Homeownership Services team at Southwark Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a small but dedicated team of repairs and contracts officers, working closely with the Homeownership Manager to elevate our service delivery to new heights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with Precision: Manage and support the repairs and contracts officers, ensuring good governance, utilising your exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Communicate with Clarity: Clearly articulate requirements, providing timely status updates, and address any challenges with confidence to achieve set targets and to ensure service provision is properly controlled and monitored.
  • Inspire Your Team: Leverage strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate your team, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone performs at their best.
  • Design for Success: Support the homeownership manager to achieve continuous improvement by reviewing the policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Multi-Tasking Maestro: Take ownership of managing your own portfolio and individual targets whilst supporting the team with Home Ownership projects.
