Nuclear EC&I Commissioning Technician

Security Clearance: The capability to obtain BPSS, P4 pass, and fulfill any additional client security requirements is crucial for this role.

The Nuclear EC&I Commissioning Technician will report directly to the Commissioning Engineer and will not oversee any commissioning personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritizing safety as the foremost concern on the project, with a continuous commitment to achieving Zero Harm. The technician will serve as a role model for all safety aspects, promoting a proactive stance towards nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety.
  • Executing all testing operations throughout various commissioning phases.
  • Assisting in the creation of test documentation.
  • Participating in the initiation and execution of Field Observation Reports (FOBs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
  • Conducting testing activities for third-party verification.
  • Managing the application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids.
  • Contributing to the documentation of supporting data in line with testing requirements.
  • Utilizing completions management systems to oversee commissioning tasks.
  • Performing commissioning duties in alignment with project timelines.
  • Engaging in multidisciplinary design reviews and collaborating with the engineering team.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Time-served or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline, such as piping or electrical.
  • Preference for ONC or equivalent qualifications or a pathway to achieve such qualifications.
  • Experience in project commissioning.
